Gözde Han has finished her Ph.D. in Cultural Studies at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Yildiz Technical University. Her Ph.D. dissertation is on the everyday resistance of the housewives in the novels Arlington Park, Recipe for a Perfect Wife and The Secret Intensity of Everyday Life. Having concluded her B.A. in English Language and Literature at Ege University, Ms. Han then received her M.A. in English Language and Literature from Istanbul University (M.A. Thesis: Representations of Hybridity prior to and after the Colonial Encounter in Midnight’s Children and White Teeth). Her academic interests cover hybridization, social theory, critical theory, discourse analysis, modernization and cultural studies.
